Eid Mubarak 1442. Covid-19 still lingers. That's why this year's Eid el-Fitri I'm still away from my hometown. To tell you frankly, I'm not feeling bad about it, because I don't think I have to feel everything deep.
My mommy even adviced me to not coming home. She sent me a message, "You don't need to come home on Eid." It's not that I'm not wanted but because we're gonna have a big family gathering on June. That is: my cousin's wedding party.
My aunts from other places also have postponned their Eid holiday to June. A wise decision I think, as there are limitation to movement from one town to another. Nobody wants to be stopped in the middle of their travel and being told to drive back.
There isn't really a lockdown here but kind of small scale social restriction around the neighborhood. People from other town may not enter each other's town. People just need to stay in their recent places of living.
So, here we are. Going nowhere.
