Factor that I Think Made Them Died of Covid-19

Hi, assalamu alaikum.

I heard 2 bad news within 2 days. One of my neighbours had passed away of Covid-19. She was a 70-something year old woman. She used to be a 'sega pecel' seller in the neighbourhood.

My last encounter with her was D+1 of Idul Adha this year. I went to buy my breakfast at her warung and she looked pale and less spiritful as she used to be.

I asked her if she had felt so bad. She said she felt uncomfort. She couldn't even answer me clearly. An allert sounded in my head. Did she catch Covid-19?

Her warung had been closed for days after that and I never went there for 4 days. On the 5th day my husband went there to see whether she was alright. He turned back and said that her warung was still closed.

I was worried even more when a friend told me that she was Covid-19 positive.

That morning, very early in the morning, after fajr prayer, I heard a news from local masjid that she had passed away in a hospital. I cried in my heart. She was old enough, she even didn't want to be vaccinated because she was an old style person.

She was afraid of syringe, of hospital and any other medical stuffs. I thought, she had gone because of the disease plus her fear.

Another bad news came from my mom. Her closest neighbour passed away just several minutes ago. Yes, I write this post right away.

She was a 60-something year old woman. She, like my neighbour I told you before, was an old style person. She even afraid of going in a car. She was afraid of doctors, hospital, etc. She died in a hospital too.

I'm just imagining them being brought to hospital, a place where they felt very uncomfortable with. Lying on the bed with nobody around.

Fear, loneliness, could tear down their hopes, I guess. Perhaps they felt scared and it worsen their health even more as their body immunity were getting lower.

Well, maybe they needed treatment in hospitals, but for people like them, going to the hospital was something they wanted to avoid.

Yeah, I hope and pray we are all safe. If we were meant to be die of Covid-19, may we be in our best condition to come home to Allah The Almighty.
